SPECIAL MEETING: ANNUAL TEAL TALLY PARTY
Fifth Annual Teal Tally Party: Our annual Teal Tally Party was held on April 18th
with another record breaking turnout! This was a celebration of those women who have been
fighting with ovarian cancer for 5 years or more - with each honored with a special gift. With family, friends,
good food, and such inspirational women it was the usual joyous event!
As always we used this opportunity to also honor our Volunteer of the Year. This year the award went to Ni Guttenfelder. She is a shining
example of what keeps our group going and growing. Ni joined the group last year, jumping in with both feet, volunteering at numerous
events and proving herself to already be a highly valuable volunteer who truly knows how to Make a Difference! Thank you, Ni!
At meetings in 2006 and early 2007 Dr. Mark Messing did presentations at Meetings on topics requested
by the volunteers. Dr. Messing, for those that don't know him, is a gynecological oncologist who serves
on the DFW NOCC Advisory Board and has provided countless hours of volunteer work with our group. He has made numerous
presentations to our group and we are very grateful for his efforts. He kindly allowed us to provide a summary of
