RACE ROUTE:
We will be having both a 5K and a 1 Mile event again this year. At this time the course is pending USATF
Certification (which was received last year so we expect to receive it again this year). The 5K race route this
year will be (subject to change):
- Start at Baylor Regional Medical Center at Grapevine
- Go south on Baylor Parkway
- Turn left onto Lancaster
- Turn right onto College (cross Ball St; cross Main St)
- Turn left onto Smith
- Turn left onto Texas
- Turn left onto Jenkins
- Turn right on Worth (cross Main St)
- Turn right on Barton
- Turn left onto Wall St
- Turn left onto Ball St
- Turn right onto Lancaster
- Turn right onto Baylor Parkway
- Finish in front of Baylor Regional Medical Center at Grapevine
RACE AWARDS:
For those who wish to be timed and eligible for awards, we are utilizing Chip Timing again this year.
In order to be eligible and timed you must wear a small chip on your shoe that you will pick up on Saturday
before the race at a designated Chip Timing Booth or at packet pickup.
Awards in the 5K event will be given for the following:
- 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place Overall Ovarian Cancer Survivors
- 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place Overall Female
- 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place Overall Male
- 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place Overall Master Men
- 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place Overall Master Female
- Age Awards: Awards will also be presented to the first three male and female finishers in the following categories:
- Age 8 and under
- Age 9-10
- Age 11-12
- Age 13-14
- Age 15-19
- Age 20-24
- Age 25-29
- Age 30-34
- Age 35-39
- Age 40-44
- Age 45-49
- Age 50-54
- Age 55-59
- Age 60-64
- Age 65-69
- Age 70 and over
